 | Visitors are always welcome to the City of West Jordan! The central location in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley makes West Jordan a great headquarters for exploring the area. A new Hampton Inn has a well-equipped room ready for you to rest and recharge, and shopping and dining opportunities are plentiful. There are also a variety of parks to enjoy, and the Jordan River Trail is a great setting for a leisurely stroll or a quick run. |
In West Jordan, you can enjoy local events like the Fourth of July Western Stampede and also various cultural events and activities organized by the Arts Council. The Schorr Art Gallery, located on the third floor of City Hall, exhibits works from local artists, and the West Jordan symphony performs year round. The Sugar Factory Playhouse is home to a variety of theatre productions and the West Jordan Historical Museum showcases the rich history of the area.
West Jordan is less than twenty minutes from downtown Salt Lake City where you’ll find a wealth of cultural events and sporting events, including the Utah Symphony and Opera, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Ballet West, the Utah Jazz, a number of museums and more.
Utah’s world-famous mountains are just minutes away and are an outdoor lover’s paradise. Winter brings the Greatest Snow on Earth for skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling. When the powder melts, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, fishing and boating are just a few of the summer activities to be enjoyed.
Memorial Bench
You don't have to be a resident to participate in the city's Memorial Bench program. Purchase a memorial bench to honor a family member who has defended the freedoms we hold dear. The benches will be installed around the Military Services Monument in Veterans Memorial Park. Click here for more information.
