General Plan

|
The General Plan Committee serves as an advisory committee to the Planning Commission and the City Council. The committee serves only when needed to prepare a comprehensive update to the General Plan, which shall be submitted to the Planning Commission within one year from the date in which the committee is appointed. In preparing its comprehensive update to the General Plan, the committee:
(a) Makes reports and recommendations to the Planning Commission, relating to proposed changes to the city's General Plan.
(b) Reviews proposed amendments to the land-use map and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and to the City Council.
(c) Makes reports and recommendations to the master transportation element and the moderate income housing element of the General Plan, but only if directed to do so by resolution of the City Council.
(Members are appointed by City Council; 15 voting members)
