The patrol or uniformed division of the West Jordan Police Department is the largest and most visible to the public. There are more than 60 full-time sworn officers in this area, serving in various capacities and available 24 hours a day. These policemen and policewomen are the first responders to all of the reported crimes and emergency incidents in West Jordan and provide the preventative patrols and enforcement activities in the city. In addition, we have more than 75 Crossing Guards who provide safe movement of the city's children to and from 18 schools.
The patrol division includes officers specializing in Traffic Law Enforcement and Traffic Accident Investigations, Police Service Dogs (K-9), DUI Enforcement, Bicycle Patrols, Community Oriented Policing (COP), Community Service Officers (CSO), and more. We operate four satellite offices throughout the city to provide more citizen access to our department.
