This Committee serves as an advisory committee on matters relating to the parks and recreation master plan, the parks capital improvements plan, and the use of the parks impact fee. Each year the Committee may identify and recommend priorities for programs, park and open space property acquisition and park development projects for inclusion in the City's budget. They coordinate proposed park master plans with the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council. The Urban Forestry program is coordinated through them. The committee meets the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. There are nine members who are appointed by City Council to three-year terms.
