  Ready West Jordan
"Ready West Jordan" is a three-hour class designed to introduce and reinforce the basics of prevention, preparation and response to a disaster. The West Jordan Fire Department and its developing group of Fire Corps volunteers will be presenting information to interested groups throughout West Jordan in the coming year. Locations and times available will be posted on this website. To sign up, make arrangements for a group presentation, or for more information, call the West Jordan Fire Department, Fire Prevention, at 801-260-7300 during business hours.
Assisting the West Jordan Fire Department in making this instruction available will be Fire Corps volunteers. Fire Corps members are residents who donate their time to assist the Fire Department in disaster preparedness efforts. By preparing for disasters, we reduce the demand on emergency resources during the first 72 hours after an event.

Have you thought about taking a class to help you prepare?  Disasters can be created by nature, such as an earthquake, flood, or winter storm, or they can be manmade such as a chemical spill on a highway or an act of terrorism.  Learning about these events, and how to prepare for them with basic fire safety training and basic first aid training and supplies will help you prepare.

Attending Ready West Jordan is something you can do to help yourself and your community.
