We, the members of the West Jordan Fire Department, in performing our mission, hereby make a commitment to the following:

Relationships:  Cultivate and maintain strong personal relationships with family, friends, and fellow firefighters.

Integrity:  Have courage, compassion and the utmost integrity in how we conduct ourselves in our personal and professional lives, being prepared to always do the expected and unexpected.

Prevention:  Provide a service to the community to further public awareness through education, inspections and other prevention programs.

Innovation:  Continually search for new and improved ways of protecting lives, homes, and property through constant training and learning of skills.

Dedication:  Never allow personal feelings or danger to self to prevent us from fulfilling our responsibilities as firefighters.

Respect:  Respect the diversity of our department and community. Adhere to the expectations, standards and guidelines set by the department. Recognize authority by showing respect in the way we conduct ourselves.

Positive Attitude:  Respond quickly and safely, any time, day or night, with a positive attitude and provide the best service we can.

Performance:  Maintain the physical ability and mental alertness for the proper performance of department operations.
