Decades of development in the City of West Jordan has placed an ever-increasing burden on the existing storm water collection and conveyance facilities. Multiple storm drainage and flood control studies have been completed for areas within the City in recent years, but a comprehensive master drainage plan had not been completed since 1985. The City retained Bowen, Collins and Associates in 2002 to complete a comprehensive Master Drainage Study for the City with the following objectives:
- Identify the capacities of existing systems
- Recommend improvements to address existing and projected future drainage deficiencies
- Develop a plan for implementing the recommended improvements
In 2014, Hansen, Allen and Luce was retained to update the Storm Water Master Plan. The 2015 Storm Drain Master Plan Report and Figures is a guidance document and is subject to update or re-evaluation based on new information. Please contact the Utility Planning Division for specific design information.
